Windows 10: Can't copy images from Web and paste into File Explorer

Suddenly today when I copy an image from a website using Chrome or Edge, I can't paste it into File Explorer. I've tried with multiple images. No error message. The cut/copy/paste icons aren't there see image and neither Ctrl-V nor right-click-paste works. Pasting an image into Word works fine. I've restarted multiple times. I have restarted File Explorer from Task Manager processes twice. I've opened the clipboard and the images show up there. I've cleared the clipboard. Windows is fully up-to-date. I've run the System File Checker cmd, Run as administrator, "DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /R

I have never been able to Copy and Paste images direct form a web browser into File Explorer, however, try to click and drag the image from your browser into File Explorer, that does seem to work on my PC . . .

Yes, this function is working, but I still would like to know if I can somehow revive the straight up copy and paste thing.

Pasting copied images to File Explorer

Yesterday I could copy images from a browser and paste them straight to the file explorer. The assigned name consisted of random numbers and letters but the whole point is that I could copy and paste the image straight to the desired folder or any other
program. I'm trying it now and pasting does work in other programs, like Discord, but it doesn't work in file explorer. Can I somehow fix this, so I can paste to the file explorer again?
