Windows 10: Laptop running poorly

So I was emulating a Nintendo switch game using the software Ryujinx, and my friend was sitting next to me, and needed help with an assignment. I foolishly left the software running, and after about 20 minutes, I went back to my computer, and the screen was black, but not off. I could see some flickers but nothing would work. So I powered off and on my laptop, and when I opened my computer, first of all, the display size was a 150%, when its usually at 125%. I thought it was odd, but I figured maybe I clicked my mouse in just the right order to change the display size. Next thing I noticed, th

windows 8.1 64bit running poorly

windows 8.1 64 bit is running porly...very poorly!!!

 

Clean up poorly running computer before the upgrade?


In addition to all of the clean up that you do with these other tools, I would suggest that you download Windows Repair from www.tweaking.com and run this utility twice in safe mode and run each step in the program twice. This may fixe a number of errors that have crept in or have been caused by malware, viruses, etc. that don't get fixed by the other tools.

You can also install CCleaner to clean up the junk as well.
