  1. Windows Security finds unwanted app

This is just great! Windows Security pops up a message which says, "Unwanted App Found" so I open up Windows Security, but it only tells me just that, a potentially unwanted app is found. BUT, it is not telling what particular app it is. If I click on it, it gives me the option of option of opening it whatever it is and to allow it to make changes to the system. Question then: how do I find out what particular app this is, and if needs be, how do I get rid of it?

    :)

  2. Potentially Unwanted App Found (Not)

Yesterday, I got a notification for a Potentially Unwanted App Found. I briefly went through the steps to find the app, but I got nowhere. Today, I received another notification so I took the time to research the entire paradigm for discovering the app. I opened Windows Security from the notification. I next went to App and Browser Control. However, there is no [Review] box under Reputation-based Protection. (All the settings in this section are set to Default). There must be something that is activating the notification, but nothing is showing up either on Microsoft or Malware Fighter. Any assistance would be appreciated as this is already becoming annoying. I am running Version 21H1 (OS Build 19043.1826).

    Windows Security finds unwanted app

Unwanted App - where is it?

If it's a UWP app (Store app) then you can try here:

Windows Security finds unwanted app 305174d1604740814t-unwanted-app-where-1.png

whilst everything installed is listed here:

Windows Security finds unwanted app 305175d1604740884t-unwanted-app-where-1.png

If that means you were using a browser, there may be a download record.
