Syncing files copied manually to OneDrive

One of my computers has a Documents folder that's just too huge to be automatically synced to OneDrive. But I often want to copy 1-4 large files totaling ~500MB to it and then access these files on another PC logged into the same MS account. It can take 15 minutes for them to show up and that's too long. How do I force a manual sync? I realize this question has been asked many times but it is usually in the context of automatically synced folders rather than files that have been manually copied to OneDrive. Both computers are on Windows 10.John

    Onedrive - Manual sync?

I want to be able to manually sync, i.e. copy files manually to onedrive but have them copied to the cloud and available locally but without any type of autosync. I use my computer for audio / video recording and do not want any extraneous i/o occurring
    in the background.

IOW, I just want to be able to use my onedrive as a remote drive without it doing any type of "file change/shadow copy" background i/o.

Are there instructions on configuring this?

    Onedrive - Manual sync?

hmmm...Something I'm seeing doesn't make sense with what I've read and what you guys have said...

I have onedrive currently set to sync my documents folder and as such it's syncing my music folders. I have created several musx files (music xml) files in one of the sub folders off my documents and the new files are not automatically sync'd / copied over
to my onedrive. I have to manually copy them. I have not tried changing a file that already exists up there to see if it's synced automatically.

I double checked the configuration and all sub folder names under my documents have the check box enabled to sync them.

This is actually how I wanted to work but based on what Andre has said and what i've read elsewhere, this seems to be anomalous behavior!

    Windows 10 - OneDrive

Right click on the app and one of the properties has an option to not automatically start it. Uncheck, restart the computer, and it should stop. If you want to go another step further, find the OneDrive app in the start menu, right click on it and uninstall.

If that is still insufficient, there is a batch uninstaller for OneDrive available online. I can copy the code here if you need it.
