    I am trying to change the repetition rate of my keyboard keys. As you can see from the attached diagram I have gone through the procedure to change the repetition rate and every time I get to the point to access the appropriate screen it says you do not have a Microsoft keyboard which is true and it ends there. I guess I must have had a Microsoft keyboard previously because I have reset the caps lock key to be an enter key using MS Mouse Keyboard Center app. I have tried two other keyboards all with the same result as shown in exhibit two. So please, could anyone tell me how to change the rep

    • Since when are you facing this issue?

    • Did you make any software or hardware changes on your computer prior to this issue?


    I suggest you to follow the steps below and check if it helps.

    Step 1: You may check if the ALT key is functioning correctly in on-screen keyboard. It will help us to verify if there is any issue with the keyboard.

    Follow the steps below to open On-screen Keyboard.


    • Windows + Q, type OSK (on-screen keyboard)

    • And check if it works
    Step 2: Run Hardware and device Troubleshooter.

    Windows 10 has a built-in troubleshooter to check and fix issues with hardware and devices. I would suggest you to run this troubleshooter to check if the issue is with your devices. Refer these steps:


    • Press Windows key +X, select Control panel.

    • Change the view by option on the top right to Large icons.

    • Click on troubleshooting and click on the view all option on the left panel.

    • Run the Hardware and devices troubleshooter.

  3. @ key not working on uk keyboard.

    unable to sign in on my tablet as @ key is not working. I've tried the suggestions but think they relate to a US keyboard Alt 64 results in euro sign!). At any rate I can't change languages or do anything until I have signed in so would really appreciate
    a tip!

    I understand that you are unable to set the keyboard language to UK English. We will assist you to resolve the issue.



    To assist you better, I would like to know what exactly happens when you try to change the keyboard language. Did you receive any error message?



    Are you trying to say that you are able to add the keyboard layout but unable to change it?



    I suggest you to sign out from the current account, restart the computer and log in with the account which you would like to change the keyboard language and please follow the steps to add English UK as a language
    once again.

    1. Go to Control Panel.

    2. Click on Clock, Language and region.

    3. Click on language.

    4. Click on Add a Language

    5. Double Click on English.

    6. Choose English United Kingdom.



    Once you have done the configuration, I suggest you to press Windows key + Space
    and check if you are able to change the keyboard layout.
