Attached are the dump files. Regularly getting clock watchdog timeout bsod errors. Not overclocking pc, msi x570 motherboard, 32gb ram, cpu ryzen 5 3600, loaded onto an internal ssd. CLOCK WATCH DOG TIMEOUT error

    Hi,

I am getting the CLOCK WATCHDOG TIMEOUT error regularly with no consistency. Sometimes it happens navigating file explorer and other times when I’m trying to start up a game. It started yesterday morning. I did swap my motherboard and cpu a few weeks ago and everything has been running fine since then up until this started yesterday.

I have tried everything in this list to fix it: How to Fix Clock Watchdog Timeout on Windows

I also reset my pc and reinstalled windows with no improvement. I checked all connections in the pc and reseated my gpu and ram.

I am not getting any files put into my mini dump folder. When the BSOD comes up it gets stuck on that at either 0% or 25% for collecting the error info and it won’t restart on its own.

    Any help is appreciated, thanks.

  3. Clock Watch Dog Timeout 0x00000101: 0x010; 0x00; 0x00b; and more

So after some tinkering with my cpu settings, I think I figured out what the issue was.

Reset cpu back to stock and everything seemed ok. I slowly tried to increase clock speed, voltage etc until I ran into the same BSOD'S.

I eventually realized that at my highest and normally stable clock speed of 4.7Ghz was causing the BSOD'S. What I had not take into account was cpu degradation. I have been running this cpu overclocked at it 4.7Ghz for a while now. I didn't think I would need to increase the voltage in order to keep the cpu stable / get the same amount of work I was getting at a lower voltage before.

CPU is obviously showing signs of age. I for see a INTEL I-9 or the Threadripper with its 64 PCIE express lanes.

Thank you all for your time and help in narrowing my problem down.

Wish windows 10 had a better way / description of cpu stability issues than clock watch dog.
