Windows 10: New update - super lag

I have a HP Victus 16 that I use for gaming and after the latest update, my games are super laggy. I've played the game on this laptop before with no problem and the graphics drivers are all updated. Any ideas how I can fix this? I've already tried playing it at a lower resolution but it's still like sloughing through mud...

• What browser are you using when you experience a lag?
• Does the lag occur in a particular game?

In the meantime, we suggest you run the System Maintenance troubleshooter. Here are the steps:

• Press Windows Key + X.
• Click on Control Panel.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• On the left pane, click on View All.
• Click on System Maintenance to run the troubleshooter.

Windows 10 Super Game Lag

Since you are using build 10240, I would suggest you to upgrade your system to Windows new 1511 version and check if it resolves the issue.
This update will play a major role in incorporating new features as well as improving performance in Windows 10.

Here are the steps:

• 
  In search type Check for updates
  and hit enter.
  
• 
  Click on Check for updates.
  

You can also upgrade to 1511 using an ISO media creation tool.

Intel E5200 Gets Updated, R0 Stepping Coming Up

Intel's Pentium Dual-Core E5200 processor is getting on course for a specifications update. The chip will feature in a new, improved Wolfdale-2M core, spec'd out as the R0 stepping, from its current M0 stepping. The new stepping is intended to add new instructions, power-management features, and bring about changes in the chip-package. A short list of known changes is as follows:

• CPUID changed from 10677 to 1067A
• Power State Indicator (PSI) support with Intel 4 series chipsets
• New instructions - XSAVE and XRSTOR
• New S-spec and MM numbers
• New halide-free chip package

Due to the changed CPUID, users may require BIOS updates to detect the CPU. According to the company, E5200 R0 should be out by April 13.
