Windows 10: How can I log in my old OneDrive and avoid getting likely malware from files I uploaded...

Hi,So...The thing is, my old laptop was full of malware and viruses. I have no doubt. It was old, from 2014, I never ran any check on it. As a matter of fact it just died 'cause it was never cleaned, overheated etc.Now I purchased a new one and I've uploaded none of my old files on it. I haven't accessed my former OneDrive either, I've created a new account. Yet, on my old OneDrive I do have several files that I need. But I have read on many tech forums that certain viruses / malware ARE in fact uploaded with the files to OneDrive, to Google Drive -- to any cloud service -- and if you later on

Saves log files ?

You can either read the files in Windows or my preferred method is.....

Download CCcleaner from here...........

You can then run cleaner, you will see the log files listed, then if you right click you can save as a text file and then have a read. You may also get an "error reporting" log listed seperatly.

To further assist you, I suggest that you try these steps here.

1. Check if the you can open the file online on OneDrive.com?

2. To control the Windows file security that OneDrive puts on files uploaded from an Android device, you can follow these steps:

1. Right-click on the "Pictures" folder and select "Properties".
   
2. Click on the "Security" tab.
   
3. Click on the "Advanced" button.
   
4. Check the box that says "Replace all child object permission entries with inheritable permission entries from this object".
   
5. Click "OK" to apply the changes.
   

This should ensure that the security on the files uploaded from your Android device to OneDrive will inherit the security from the "Pictures" folder on your Windows device.
