    Why does my dell KB216t keyboard work, except when I hit the F2 or F12 buton at startup?


    I need to access the BIOS to get the computer to recognize added memory. My dell KB216t keyboard works, except when I hit the F2 or F12 button at startup. How do I fix this?

    On my Dell KB216t, some of the keys are functioning twice.

    Original title: Dell KB216t

    I have a Dell KB216t with my desktop. It came without instructions. Some of the keys are obviously double function. One function is printed in gray and one in blue. The insert key (gray) doubles with the Print Screen (blue), one key with both words imprinted
    on it. I would like to know how to switch between the functions. There are 9 keys labelled this way. I have contacted Dell several times and talked with as many techs. Nobody seems to know what to do. The last tech said he would send me a new keyboard.
    I don't think this will help. The problem is in the step to switch functions. If anybody knows how to do this, please let me know. Thank you.

    Cannot Boot To BIOS Setup (F2) or One-Time Boot Sequence Options (F12)

    I have tried all these and still can't get into BIOS setup or One-Time Boot Sequence.

    1. First off, F2 or F12 does not work.
    2. F2 right after the keyboard light comes on.
    3. Continuous tapping of the F2 key, will cause the desktop not boot at all.
    4. Continuous tapping of the F12 key, will cause the desktop not boot at all.
    5. Cannot flash the BIOS to a more current version since F12 will not work to select the USB.
    6. powercfg /h off
    7. Disabled Fast Startup.

    Dell Startup Bios Password Remval, F2 or F12 doesn't open up anything.

    A few weeks ago, I set up a bios password by going to the F2 bios menu and enabling it from there. However, nothing happens when I try to go back to that menu by pressing F2 or F12. Is there any other way to disable it, since I cannot go the the BIOS menu?
