Windows 10: Missing Key File For Resetting Laptop

I am trying to factory reset my old Asus gaming laptop so I can give it to a friend. I first attempted Settings > Recovery > Reset this pc > Remove Everything, but said "There was a problem resetting". So, I went to the Advance Start-Up. In Advance Start Up, it told me I was missing File: \windows\system32\winload.efi and that I need recovery tools to get that file.But, I don't have any kind of recovery tools like installation media. What do I do?

Burning Files To cdr

I tried to drag a .txt file to the burn list, as suggested above, but it will not drop in. I get a message "+add to burn list" but I cannot get it to drop into the burn list. Is there another step I am missing?

Why did the startup window get cleared?

I didn't missed any step, the list was gone and gone , even after using lot of programs the programs were not listed in that list.
