Windows 11 maximum limit is 32bit/384KHz?

I am using an Eversolo DAC-Z8 by connecting from my Windows PC to my DAC with a USB cable. I was downloaded and installed the official sound drivers V5.58.0. I also upgraded my DAC firmware to the latest v1.0.0.56. I still can't manage to set the output sound settings to 32bit/768KHz. Windows 11 only can reach to 32bit/384KHz maximum capability. My DAC indeed able to get 32bit/768KHz as the official website did mention in their specifications. Why can't I get 32bit/768KHz in the audio output setting?

    :)

  2. Windows 11 Spatial Audio is not available with Sample Rate 32bit/384kHz

    Hello FNDRSM,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community!

Thank you for providing the device information, Windows 11 Professional system, and screenshots that help us better understand the problem situation.

You are unable to turn on spatial audio at a sample rate of 32bit/384kHz when using a DAC C type Conexant CX31993 device. Is this correct? Please feel free to point out if my understanding is wrong.

I understand your confusion, there may be many reasons why you can't turn on spatial audio when the sample rate is 32bit/384kHz, it may be a system problem or your DAC C device doesn't support 32bit/384kHz, you can try the following solutions to troubleshoot:

    1. Check the driver: Make sure your DAC C device has installed the latest driver. You can visit Conexant official website or DAC C device manufacturer's official website to download and install the latest driver compatible with Windows 11.

    2. Update Windows 11: Make sure your Windows 11 system has been fully updated to the latest version. If it is caused by incompatible system updates, then updating windows may be able to solve the problem.

    3. Use System File Checker

You can consider using using System File Checker tool to repair lost or corrupted system files, please refer to the following link for the detailed steps:

Using System File Checker in Windows - Microsoft Support

    4. If incompatible third-party applications are causing the problem, you can try testing in a clean boot mode, I recommend trying a clean boot which starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. It can be used to determine whether a background service or program is interfering or causing a problem.

These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by-step.

    5. Verify DAC support: Make sure your DAC C device supports spatial audio with a sample rate of 32bit/384kHz. You can check the technical specifications of the DAC C or contact the manufacturer for more information.

If none of the above solutions work, it is recommended that you contact the manufacturer of your DAC C device or the Windows 11 technical support team for more specialized help and support.

If there is a questionable part of the procedure you can show me with a screenshot via a reply, any sharing on this issue is welcome, thank you for your cooperation.

Windows 11 Spatial Audio is not available with Sample Rate 32bit/384kHz

    Hi, new to audio.

Just want to ask. I'm using DAC Type C dongle Conexant CX31993 to listen Tidal at Max Quality (HiRes or MQA). By default when plugin the DAC, the audio sample rate is 16bit/48kHz and the Spatial Audio can be turned on. But when i changed the sample rate to the max at 32bit/384kHz, the Spatial Audio turned off by default, so i switched on the settings. After i close the settings and open it again, the sample rate turns back to 16bit/48kHz (default setting).

I did this many times, Until I just change sample rate to 32bit/384kHz and let the Spatial Audio turned off. The close and reopen the settings. The sample rate stays at 32bit/384kHz. So, are the Spatial Audio is not available with Sample Rate 32bit/384kHz?
