Windows 10: How to disable autocorrect in Explorer search bar.

Every time I search for a file or something in Explorer, I have to type slower, so the autocorrect don't 'eat up' the words I'm typing when it tries to correct what I'm trying to type, even when it has nothing wrong, or it tries to capitalize the first letter of the word.This feature is so annoying, and I have to use the search multiple times a day for my job.I spent some time searching online to see if there's a way to disable the autocorrect, but I didn't find anything.Please, tell me there's a way to disable this. I don't anything changing my input ever.

Notepad is a simple text-editing program that allows minimal formatting and limited to simple text entry. Meanwhile, the autocorrect in Windows 10 can be enabled or disabled by following the steps below:

• Type Devices in Cortana search and press Enter.
• Click Typing beside the keyboard icon.

Autocorrect Problem

Understood, in case you cannot find an entry for autocorrect at the address you provided, it may be necessary to try a different approach. In this case, you can follow the alternative steps below:

Using Group Policy Editor:

Open “Group Policy Editor” from the Start menu.

Go to Computer Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Spelling > Find the entry named “Show autocorrect suggestions”.

Turn off autocorrect by double-clicking this entry and then disabling it.

Registry Editing:

Press Win + R, type regedit and press Enter to open the Registry Editor.

Navigate to the following path:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\AutoComplete

Find the AutoCorrect entry here and set its value to 0 (disabled). If it does not exist, right-click it, create it by choosing New > DWORD (32-bit) Value and set its name to AutoCorrect, then set its value to 0.

Remember to restart Windows Explorer after trying these steps.

In this case, we suggest following the steps below to work around the issue:

• On the Cortana search box, type Typing Settings and press
  Enter.
• Turn off Autocorrect misspelled words and Highlight misspelled words.
• Restart your PC.
• Do step 1 and 2 but this time turn on Autocorrect misspelled words
  and Highlight misspelled words.
• Restart your PC.
• Check if the issue still exist.
