System File Checker (SFC) stuck at 10% for 10 hours - Windows 10

This can be due to an entry in the scan that could not be repaired. To better understand your concern, we'd like to know the following:

• The entries posted in the scan. To check the sfcdetails.txt file, you can perform the steps posted in the
  How to view details of the System File Checker process section of this

• The version of Windows 10 that you're using on your device. To check this, you can perform the steps posted on this
  
  link.

I understand that SFC scan doesn’t complete and give error. I’ll certainly assist you with the issue.



SFC scan checks the integrity of the system files that are required for the running of Windows. If certain system DLL files are causing issues, SFC scan will try to repair these files. However, you may refer the article
Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or
corrupted system files where you will find more information.



Meanwhile, I would suggest you to perform DISM from the above mentioned article and see if that helps.



If you still see errors in SFC scan on running OS, then you can perform in-place upgrade to repair the system files.



An in place upgrade will repair the corrupted system files and will upgrade the computer to the latest version of Windows as well.



To perform an in place upgrade on the computer, refer the steps mentioned in the article

System File Checker Corruption

Hi All

Discovered system file checker after removing Avast, offline repair so far not working the way I want it to, My drives are configured boot ssd, D for storage, yet the list in Command prompt on startup up shows X:\Windows, well tried C, D, X and still wouldn't run

Already done 3 Clean installs of 1803, just want this solved, might try another online scan of sfc, and see if it can repair that way

Waits for anymore advice

Online scan only gets to 2 percent then stops

Stated could not complete requested operation when I finally got offline system file checker to run
