Ethernet connection keeps getting turning off and then back on

I repeat the question again: Is the computer connected directly to the router or via the Hub / Switch or other?

Go to Device Manager> network adapters, select your network adapter, click on the Power Management tab, uncheck the checkbox: Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power. Click on the Advanced tab and disable any options regarding energy saving: Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE), Green Ethernet etc.

If your PC is custom, go to the motherboard manufacturer's website and check if there are updated drivers available for your etherrnet adapter, Chipset and BIOS.

 

How to cancel acceptance of MS's recommended option for best energy efficiency in Windows 11?

My (Acer tc885) desktop has become very slow to start-up recently. This is despite having a small SSD designed to speed the process up, not much on the hard drive and my running utilities to clean up potential problems.

Also, I can only turn the computer off now by holding down the power button or by turning off the fast start option in the power section of settings. The recommended option is to turn fast start on which seems to suggest a conflict with the best energy efficiency recommendation.

I suspect accepting the recommendation in the question may be the cause of this and I would like to be able to cancel this to check but cannot find any way of doing so or anything on you tube on the specific point.

Any help would be most appreciated.

 

No Internet Access (Ethernet)

which Windows 10 build are you running? If you don't know, type winver in the search box.
Try following these steps first:
Turn off the router and also unplug the power cable from the electrical outlet, disconnect the network cable from both sides, temporarily disconnect any other device connected to the PC, UPS, USB / ethernet Hub, Dock Station etc. Turn on the router again
after about 1 minute, just reconnect the network cable to the PC and restart the PC and try again.
If it does not solve, go to Device Management> network adapters, select your ethernet adapter, click on the Power Management tab, clear the check box: Allow the computer to turn off the device to save energy.Click on the Advanced tab and disable any option
on energy saving: Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE), Green Ethernet etc.
