Windows 10: Why Windows 10 sucks?

Metro interface is annoying. Remember nice and simple menu from Windows 7 where you coan find everything always in the same place? Yes, that was nice... Now we got a nightmare - weird vision of a mad MS programmer. Who was complaining about old-style menu? Do not know anyone. But know many that complains about metro. Again must download 3rd party apps in order to make the recent kid of MS usable.


Welcome screen is annoying. It changes every several hours (24?) downloading some pictures from ???. Do not like it and do not know how to switch off this "feature". I wish MS "specialists" focus on i.e. notepad issue described below (or many other bugs presented as "features").


After closing and opening a lid in the laptop all program windows are resized and moved into left upper corner. Imagine you have several applications open and just want to move with your laptop to the next room... DO NOT CLOSE THE LID! Next "feature" from Microsoft "specialists". No solution for that.


Notepad. Yes, still cannot open simple text files - most won't open correctly (no EOL) because of coding. You have to download any simple editor in order to make it convenient. Microsoft "specialists" cannot do that. Since 1990's. But they can do all the annoying stuff mentioned earlier.


There is many more annoying things that can list for long time, but is it worth? Personally use Linux, but company laptops just got upgraded to Win10 and there was no way to avoid that... so pity! Oh, so pity! Metro/Win10 creators should not touch any keyboard until end of their life.

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK
