Windows 10: Windows 10 loading freeze after reset

I used to have a AMD Radeon graphics card in this laptop, I tried updating drivers by going to the AMD site and I wanted the app to automatically scan and install the drivers for me as I do not know which one was it. Then, it froze the screen while halfway downloading.

I did hard shutdown by holding the power button. I turned it on and it kept freezing suddenly when I'm using the laptop. Because of this, I went to uninstall the graphics card from Device Manager and restarted the laptop. No more problems like stutter or freezing but I'm left with the integrated graphics card, Intel HD Graphics 4000. It was hell for cause I am unable to withstand a minimum of 60fps on very low settings in any games I play. Went to add legacy hardware in Device Manager but it was not there. This became a problem for me for months.


Yesterday night I felt mad so I went for a clean drive reset. After that, I went to sleep and expected it to be like usual when resetting. When I woke up, the screen was off. I turned it on and hoped that everything should go fine, it shiwed the Samsung logo and below it is a circle circling. After that it went black and back to another page of loading which is usual for laptops. No samsung logo tho. It circles for like 3 seconds and boom, it freezes.


I tried to force shutdown and turn it back on many times but still nothing. I tried to enter Startup Repair mode but it didn't work. Pressing F9, F11, ESC or DEL also nothing. Now I am stuck with this no matter how many times I try.

Having random resets on Windows 10

I would suggest trying another PSU.
It appears to me it cuts out under load.
Use CPUID HWMonitor to check voltages while running at idle, then load.
Not resetting while in BIOS, does not mean Hardware isn't to blame, it only shows basic drivers and hardware are functioning correctly.

 

Windows Vista Wont Install Freezes?

had the same problem, freezes and long installation including each step loading, in my case a bios update helped.

 

Windows 10 freezes randomly

I had already tried turning off fast startup, to no avail.
Will look at the list you provided, thanks. Hard to do when computer freezes on the Windows loading screen though. *Biggrin
