    Short cut virus


    I have the original version of Windows 10 in my laptop. I detected short cut virus in my laptop recently. An important folder was emptied and the search box only shows the short cuts of the original files. Also, if I create a new word document, another short cut file is getting created immediately. I scan my laptop with windows defender regularly and have done so after I have seen the presence of the short cut virus. It just says, no threats found. How do I remove the virus from my laptop and can I recover the lost files?

    Dropped short cut

    Once again I find myself looking for a long used short cut. Apparently Windows 10 and Bing do not like Yahoo. I downloaded 10 and was comfortable navigating around. The next day, I logged on and Yahoo was among the missing. Easy to go to Windows Edge
    and then to Yahoo, but the program will not right click to a drop down and choices of creating a short cut on the desk top. I tried Mr. Smithers fix to get Google Earth back, but yahoo is not listed in the "Apps' section. Any suggestions. Thank you in advance.
