Windows 10: Rotate a video

Discus and support Rotate a video in Windows 10 Software and Apps to solve the problem; Hi, since movie maker is no longer available for download, is there any proprietary app that we can use to solve this issue.     Hi,

    since movie maker is no longer available for download, is there any proprietary app that we can use to solve this issue. Photos has not this feature, for what I know.

    I mean it's ridiculous I can't find anything online to rotate a video and save it beside buying a video editing software. All the free versions of editing software I tried are junk or not working in w10.

    Lumia 925, video recording, no auto rotate ?

    Auto rotating a photo is not a big deal, but auto rotating a video requires heavy cpu power which you cannot do on your phone.



    On your phone the video is not rotated itself, just the screen is rotated, but when you move that video to your PC, you will see the original.



    On your PC,

    • you can rotate the display upside down, that's what basically your phone does while watching it on the phone
    • or you can use third party apps to display rotated video, I guess vlc player does that.
    • or you can use video editing tools to rotate the video itself.

    Really needed to list more system specs and information on this issue.So this is assuming you have this and this is the issue.

    Why does my screen not rotate?
    The auto rotation lock feature is turned on by default in Windows 10. Use the following steps to turn off this feature.

    1. Place the tablet into Pad/Tablet mode.
    2. Click the Start
      Rotate a video [​IMG]
      menu       and select Settings.
    3. Click System.
    4. Click Display.
    5. Scroll down and toggle Lock rotation of this display to OFF.
