Windows 10: Feature update to Windows 10, version 1809 fails

I have two PC's, (a desktop & a notebook) both have Intel chipsets and are current at Windows 10 Pro x64, version 1803, build 17134.471.


When doing a windows update to version 1809 it downloads the feature then gives me an error message, then after a few minutes it automatically restarts the download and gives me another error message.- 0x80240034, 0x80d05001, 08x0070002.


I have run DISM an SFC, both provide a clean report. I also ran the update trouble shooter, did a Disk Cleanup, and defrag. KB4456655 mentioned in another post is installed. A power down, power up was preformed after the above to insure a hard system reset.


The above feature download takes several hours on each PC. A clean install on either PC would require about 7-10 days to reinstall 86 existing programs (about 8 Gb). The download for a clean install would likely take 24 hours or more. My current download speed is 0.55mbps.


Is there a fix? In the mean time? Is there a way to stop feature updates indefinitely?

WMP for version 1809...


My Windows 10 N, version 1803 had used Windows Media Player via installing it from the "Windows_MediaFeaturePack_x64_1803.msu" file.

Updating to 1809 removed the WMP and no longer available in the apps list:





There's an updated version listed at:

https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...ows-n-editions

But clicking on the link and looking for the 1809 in the drop down list of versions does not show the media feature pack available for download for 1809; instead it shows version 1709 and 1803.

Does anyone have a direct link to WMP for Windows 10 N, version 1809?

today I tried to update to feature update to windows 10 version 1809(64 bit) I am getting error code 0x80240034. How to overcome from this error.
