Windows 10: 0x8007000a - 0x2000d error when trying to upgrade from 8.1 to W10

Hello, any guidance welcome. I have attempted to upgrade my daughter's Asus 8.1 installed laptop to Windows 10. The installation seems to be successful - it checks for updates, downloads, installs and then enters a phase of doing updates. Towards the end of doing updates it encounters an error and reverts to the pre-installation set up giving me the error code: 0x8007000a - 0x2000d saying "The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase with an error during MIGRATE_DATA".


I looked up solutions to this online and as a result I removed third party anti-virus and VPN software. I have rebooted after disabling backround programmes and startup programmes. I ran the SFC and there appear to have been no corrupted files. Even after all this I encountered the same error. There is >24GB storage space available.

Any ideas?

Cannot upgrade from Windows 8.1 to windows 10. Error code 0x8007000a - 0x2000d. I've tried installing from a clean boot, from safe mode, and from a USB/ISO disc image. Same error. I've unplugged everything
from my computer, ran SCF and CCleaner, uninstalled Avast and malwarebytes. Same error.

i was trying to upgrade from windows 8.1 version 6.3 (build 9600) to windows 10 ver 2004 on my hp stream 8 tablet. I first did a reset on my tablet and tried to upgrade to win10 without any win8.1 updates; it got to the part where it says "this will take a while" and got stuck at 27% before reverting back to win8.1 and giving the error code 0x8007000a - 0x2000d. so after that I downloaded and installed all of the available updates and then tried to update to windows 10 again. i got the exact same result as the first time. here's a link to the rollback log thingy: Rollback - Google Drive any help would be appreciated

Hello, now I want to upgrade my asus rog g771jw laptop to Windows 10. Everything works flawlessly with the installation with the upgrade until the end of everything when the computer has been restarted
and everything, but then I constantly get the same error over and over again, Even though I've done everything on the whole web and I still can't upgrade. The error that comes up is 0x800700A - 0x2000D and it says "The installation failed in the SAFE_OS phase
with an error during the MIGRATE_DATA action" but as I said before, I have tried to check this error everywhere but none of it helps and has attempted to load home different kinds of files but not even that works. So if anyone knows how to fix this please
tell me how to do it. (I also bought Xbox gamepass Ultimate because I wanted it on the computer and that I also thought that the upgrade to Windows 10 would work flawlessly but then it did not
