Windows 10: 0x80070057 error when trying to update to Windows 10 latest built

Over the past 2 Windows build 1909 & 2004, all domain joined computers are getting update failed 0x80070057 around 70-80% install mark. I have done the usual steps listed in this link, but nothing worked

Tried installing the update from ISO, didn't work.


Tried disjoint the computer from domain just in case some GPO is causing the problem even though it was able to update prior to 1909. Same issue.


Only way to upgrade to the latest build is to do a clean install which is not a valid option.


Also, computers are from multiple manufacturers including Dell, HP and Lenovo.

2. Are you trying to install updates in Windows 10 or are you trying to upgrade to Windows 10 from lower version?

Note:
The article talks about re-installing Windows, please take a backup of data before performing the steps.

Error: 0x80070057 when trying to update Windows 10

I keep trying to update my computer to Windows 10 and it always fails on the last step saying that Windows 10 has failed to install. Then I get the error code 0x80070057. It says before the update begins that my computer has the correct conditions to update
but always fails. How do I get it to update properly
