Windows 10: 0x80070422 update

Updating is impossible in my PC. This error message keeps on coming. This PC was upgraded from Windows 7 but it is a strong PC so it should not have issue at all. I have a good performance but the update is not working. Help me out.

A simple solution but one that works in most circumstances!

1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.

2. In the list of services, right-click Automatic Updates, and then click Properties.

3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.

4. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

5. Right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service, and then click Properties.

6. In the Startup type list, click Manual, and then click Apply.

7. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

0x80070422 means "The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it."

1. Launch the Services MMC (services.msc)
   
2. Double-click Windows Update
   
3. Set its startup type to Manual
   
4. In the Log On tab, select Local System account.
   
5. Switch to the General tab, and click Apply
   
6. Click Start to start the Windows Update service.
