    Getting error 0x8007054f from Windows Defender

    Windows Defender started throwing Alerts saying that Malware was being removed. The History in Windows Defender says: (when I viewed "All detected items" from History):

    The following error occurred: Error code 0x8007054f. An internal error occurred.

    Category: Trojan

    Description: This program is dangerous and executes commands from an attacker.

    Recommended action: Remove this software immediately.

    Items:

    file0x8007054f :D:\Users\Kevin\Downloads\FlashPlayer.exe

    The Malware, "Trojan:Win32Kovter," is listed multiple times.

    • I tried running Windows Defender Offline, but when it restarted, the alerts and errors continue.

    I'm running Windows 10 Build 14393.10

    Pin reset in Windows10 update, error 0x8007054f

    My laptop just went through an update and it says that my pin was reset (which is the only way I have been logging in. I have no password that I know of.) Another post with the same error message of 0x8007054f said to download and run the Update Troubleshooter.
    But I cannot even access the internet on the laptop, I can't login and do anything!
