Windows 10: 0x800706BE error code microphone randomly stops working

    0x800706BE error code microphone randomly stops working


    my microphone randomly stops working and voice sometimes goes lower suddenly

    I was using a normal headset that was working normally then it stopped for no reason no windows update or anything so i bought brand new headphones and same problem

    I have tried so many solutions, including SFC file checker, windows restore, windows reset and others to no avail

    when i try to use "setup a microphone" i get this error code: 0x800706BE

    Microphone suddenly stopped working

    My microphone is still not working. I even checked the BIOS as someone had suggested but there is no listing for the microphone in there.

    Using a surface book, bought it a year ago and it worked until a few days ago the facial recognition failed​ with error code 0xA00F4246(0x800706BE).
