    0x80240438 error upon downloading from Microsoft Store


    Was going to install the Windows Subsystem for Linux. The install of the WSL went OK, however upon downloading any app from the Microsoft Store, including the Linux distro packages, I receive an 0x80240438 error. Tested with other distros as well as the Windows Terminal preview, all with the same 0x80240438 error.


    I have attempted the following:

    • WSReset.exe
    • Windows Store apps Troubleshooter


    Windows 10 version 1903, build 19362.175

    Im trying to download the quantum break game from the Microsoft store on Windows 10 and I don`t even get a few GB's in, just error
    0x80240438. I have literally tried everything I could find on google any nothing works. What should i do?
