Windows 10: 0xa00f4271<mediacapturefailedevent>0x80070018 Camera not working

I have tried disabling and enabling the camera from my device manager but it didn't work. I have uninstalled and re-installed but that also didn't work. My camera is updated too.

Camera App Error 0xA00F4271<MediaCaptureFailedEvent> (0x80070018)

I own an HP Omen Laptop running Windows 10 Version 1909. It has an inbuilt webcam.

Whenever I open the Camera App, it shows the error 0xA00F4271<MediaCaptureFailedEvent> (0x80070018)

I checked the Device Manager and it doesn't have Imaging Devices listed. It does have a listing called Cameras.


Updated all Drivers manually. Win 10 is also up to date.

How do I get my Camera working ??

Error: 0xA00F4271<MediaCaptureFailedEvent> (0x80070018) when trying to access built-in Camera

I'm using an Acer predator laptop 2018. After updating to the latest windows my camera stopped working and is showing error code: 0xA00F4271<MediaCaptureFailedEvent> (0x80070018)

I've had this problem for around a year now

Model No. : PH315-51-510T

Built Version of Windows: Version 1909 (OS Built 18363.720)

No changes have been made to my laptop



I've also run the troubleshoot that was suggested by an article on Microsoft help page
