Windows 10: 0xc000007b ERROR for Windows 11. Photo attached below is my old laptop

Hi, i have been getting the same error ever since i purchased my new lenovo laptop, its the Ideapad slim Si Pro 16", Gen 6. I am attempting to play two old games named "Trails of Cold Steel 1" and "Trails of Cold Steel 2". Both of them are old games and presumed to be 32 bit, My old laptop can play both games despite lagging, but at least it's playable. But when i tried to play those new games, the error i mentioned appeared over and over again. I need help please, i have tried almost all of the methods and solutions out there in the net.... Is my new laptop too 'New" to support such games?

0xc000007b Error


I upgraded to Windows 10 today with no major issues. However, I have been receiving the 0xc000007b error for ColorUService and APSDaemon.exe at start up. I receive the same error when launching Origin from EA Games and any related game.

I talked to the techs at EA Games and they suggested using CCleaner prior to uninstalling Origin with Rivo Uninstaller. At this point I downloaded a fresh copy of Origin. The installation failed because the 0xc000007b error popped up.

I looked in several webpages concerning the error. The suggested fixes were for Windows 7/8/8.1. The ones I tried did not work.

My email program did not work correctly. I fixed this by downloading Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4

I have a Asus laptop, N750JK, with Windows 10 installed, Invidia GForce 850M, 16 GB Ram.

Is there a fix for the 0xc000007b error for Windows 10?

Same problem here, tried all the solutions i found on the web about the issue on previous OS but nothing... that error persist on every game or app that uses .net framework or directX...

I updated from 8.1 to 10
Running on an Asus A55VD

I updated nvidia drivers to the latest for w10, too.
I tried to start the issued applications with HD4000 or Nvidia, it didn't worked both ways.

What's your operating system ? also is it 32 bit or 64 bit ?

0xc000007b is usually a general error that could be issue in either of the follow:

1. Visual C++ or DirectX are not found or required update to make it run
2. GPU driver is old and required update
3. Compatibility issue if it's old game (in this case i guess it's not that old)

I suggest you download All Visual C++ again as it might some of them are old and required update, if you dont want to download all of them manually, you can try

Another try is download DirectX 9 offline incase if download wasn't complete
