Windows 10: 0xc000007b error on windows 10 when starting games.

Some games fail to start and show me an error that says "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)."
I've tried the aio-runetimes fix. Also tried moving a DLL that was missing before to: System, System32 and SysWOW64 and I still get the error.
I've previously had issues installing certain types of software like freeware VST plugins due to some Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable error about not having the 2015 one even though it was installed. I don't even know if these two things are related but I'm just unable to use certain types of software and games due to these errors at least until they are fixed. This problem is very limiting and I think I also had it even before I upgraded to windows 10 from windows 7 using the upgrade tool.

0xc000007b Error


I upgraded to Windows 10 today with no major issues. However, I have been receiving the 0xc000007b error for ColorUService and APSDaemon.exe at start up. I receive the same error when launching Origin from EA Games and any related game.

I talked to the techs at EA Games and they suggested using CCleaner prior to uninstalling Origin with Rivo Uninstaller. At this point I downloaded a fresh copy of Origin. The installation failed because the 0xc000007b error popped up.

I looked in several webpages concerning the error. The suggested fixes were for Windows 7/8/8.1. The ones I tried did not work.

My email program did not work correctly. I fixed this by downloading Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4

I have a Asus laptop, N750JK, with Windows 10 installed, Invidia GForce 850M, 16 GB Ram.

Is there a fix for the 0xc000007b error for Windows 10?

Same problem here, tried all the solutions i found on the web about the issue on previous OS but nothing... that error persist on every game or app that uses .net framework or directX...

I updated from 8.1 to 10
Running on an Asus A55VD

I updated nvidia drivers to the latest for w10, too.
I tried to start the issued applications with HD4000 or Nvidia, it didn't worked both ways.

 

0xc000007b error when launching Rising Thunder game

The game appears to be currently in a pre-launch condition. You may have discovered a bug that should be reported to the developers under the testing agreement you have with them. It appears this game is now public alpha.

You should report the problem on the Rising Thunder Bugs forum.

Further to your comments that this error appears with multiple programs.

Various forums suggest an array of potential solutions. I'll summarise them here for you.

• Run chkdsk on your primary drive. Run the command prompt as administrator and enter chkdsk there. Source
  
• Run the faulting program as administrator.
  
• Run it in compatibility mode for Windows XP.
  
• Reinstall the C++ redistributables (I know you said you had done this but you might have missed one). Source
  

Some sites suggest downloading DLL files from weird sites, I wouldn't recommend that at all.
