Windows 10: 100 Disk Issue - External SSD?

Hi, I know many people have posted about the 100% disk usage issue. I have a year old Dell Inspiron and its basically been unusable since day 1. It has a HDD.

Everyone replies to these posts saying switch to SSD. But how do I do this with a laptop? Can I use am external SSD? I'm not very familiar with hard drives and OS, so any help will be greatly appreciated!

100 Disk Usage Constant Issue

Greetings! I have come to ask for assistance on my 100 percent disk usage issue.

When I open any kind of window, the task manager will instantaneously shoot up to 100 percent disk usage until it is finished loading. I know for a fact that this is not supposed to happen.

I do plan to get an SSD Card as I do not have one, but I wanted to make sure that is what I need. Will an SSD Card be able to help with the slow 100 disk usage issue?

I have tried every single solution I found online. I have spent hours to trying to fix the issue, but absolutely no solution worked. I disabled SuperFetch, did an SFC scan, reset my virtual memory, everything that everybody suggested for me to do.

I am hoping an SSD Card helps with the disk problem and will help store some memory to improve performance.

Disk Management for External SSD drive

I bought a Samsung 500 GB SSD T5 and I'd like to use it without the Samsung app, just as an external drive. Disk management shows it as a 42 MB partition. I'd like to delete this partition and reclaim the rest of my 500 GBs but nothing I do will allow
this. Is this an issue with the drive interface being locked to prevent this use?

Any suggestions?

 

Clean install, disk usage at 100%

I've seen that article. and I am in fact not running that driver. I followed the steps and it does not appear in the list.
