    11/21/2020 update 4k support loss?


    I have an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti with the most up to date drivers, and an Asus Gsync-enabled monitor which I have been, until yesterday, able to run at full 4k resolution. I allowed yesterday's update to go through, and now the highest resolution I can get on either Windows display options or the Nvidia controller panel is 1920x1080.


    I've checked for hotfixes and patches, double checked my drivers, and done as much diligence as I can think of to figure this out on my own, but I'm stumped. Barring rolling back to last night before I updated, is there anything I can do to re-enable 4k support?

    Does Miracast support 4K?

    Hello,

    We suggest that you check with the manufacturer of the 4k display device that you are using if it is certified to work with Miracast. If your display device is certified to work with Miracast, then check if your PC device supports Miracast. You may do so
    by following the steps below:

    • Click Start, then go to Settings >
      Projecting to this PC      .
    • Check if your device supports Miracast.

    B3 Phenom support

    I checked gigabyte's site on my GA-M57 and it didn't say anything about b3 stepping update, but all of the x3 chips are b3 steppings, so just use the x3 support bios if available.
