Windows 10: 12 November 2020 Windows 10 update - Brother printer, ControlCenter 4 disappeared.

The update last night caused my ControlCenter 4 to disappear. I cannot even get the Brother Utilities file to open.

I ran the troubleshooter it came up clean.

I cannot scan. Only print.

The printer is a MFC 6490 CW and comes up with a failed to detect device warning.

I just upgraded to Windows 10 today and the scanner has been working for the last 4 years

Brother MFC-465CN printer is not printing since updates

Hopefully, someone will be able to help me. Ever since the 6/2020 Microsoft updates, I have not been able to print from my computer. I have Windows 10 version 1909. I can scan and copy just fine, but cannot print anything. My Brother printer MFC-465CN
is not listed in the Brother website as being supported by Microsoft. There are hundreds listed but not mine. I have downloaded the patch from Microsoft KB4567512, as was suggested from other users through their communications with Microsoft, but it has
not helped. I need my printer to work. Please advise on how Microsoft can help.

Brother Printer exists & works, but won't "Install" - Why?

Check whether I understood you well.
First try: Add new printer, Windows finds printer and loads its own drivers/programme automatically. It wprks but not with the Brother drivers.
Second try: Brother package: failed
I suggest a third try: Add new printer; the printer that I wanted is not listed; continue and see of your model is listed. in the list of printers.
I had difficulties with setting up another Brother printer, and the third try solved it.
