    resolution/screen size issue

Hi there. I recently got my Windows 10 upgrade (upgraded from Win 7 64-bit), I noticed a sort of resolution/screen size problem... My laptop's recommended screen resolution is 1366 x 768. When I first turn my computer on, the right edge of the screen is
cut off a bit. The way I fix this is going into resolution settings, changing to the 2nd highest resolution (in this case, 1360 x 768), and switching back to the recommended resolution. What's going on here, and how do I fix this? My graphics driver is up
    to date.

Thanks if you can help! Let me know if I need to provide any more information to help you understand the issue. In the meantime, I will pay attention to when it happens again and see if there is a way that I can faithfully reproduce it.

  3. Monitor Resolution

Thanks. I gave it a few days to see if it worked. It didn't.

My monitor is listed as "Generic PnP Monitor" (it's an old Vizio with no drivers available from that company) and I am told that I have the latest driver. I uninstalled are re-installed, etc., but it didn't change matters. It selects the correct monitor
when I restart and that seems to hold most of the day even when it takes a nap and I have to sign-on again. But overnight it changes the resolution and I cannot get it back. When I try to change the resolution manually to what it is when it is right "1360
X 768 (Recommended)" it is not the same and none of the available resolution-options work.

1366 x 768 Screen Resolution Not Available in Win 10

Thanks, Alan. That's exactly what mine looks like-- but youtd has several more choices including the one I want. In other words, I have fewer options.

So it is probably not W 10 per se. I see a couple of other replies suggesting other solutions. I don't have time to try them tonight but will look into them tomorrow. Thanks, folks.
