Discus and support 16 GB RAM Installed 15,9 GB Usabble in Windows 10 BSOD Crashes and Debugging to solve the problem; I bought a new desktop computer with an i7 4790 and 16 BG RAM, but the computer itself uses just 15,9 gb ram.     I bought a new desktop computer with an i7 4790 and 16 BG RAM, but the computer itself uses just 15,9 gb ram.

    How can i fix this?

    Hey Madan. This is not a Windows issue or Microsoft issue but I'll try to help.

    To go from 8 GB RAM to 16 GB. You will have to actually purchase COMPATIBLE 16 GB sticks of RAM then install them. Dell Inspiron might have more information on what kind of RAM is compatible with your PC.

    Getting more RAM is not a simple troubleshooting fix and if you are on a laptop, it might be impossible.

    winodws 10 24 gb ram installed only 16 usable

    I just upgraded from win 7 home premium 64 bit to win 10

    I know that the windows 7 version I had only went up

    to 16 gb of ram but I thought that Windows 10 had up

    to 128 gb limit.

    It still shows in the system that 24 gb is installed but only 16 is usable

    anyway to fix this, or do I need to try and create an install disk to do

    a clean install?

    My mb supports up to 32 gb ram

    Computer only detecting 8 GB of RAM instead of 16 GB

    So I recently reinstalled Windows 10 for a fresh new start. It seemed alright at first, until I found out that the new Windows 10 is only detecting 8 GB of installed Ram when I actually have 16 installed. But it keeps telling me I have only 8 GB installed.
    What should I do? Fix it from BIOS or what? I have been hours trying to fix it.
