Windows 10: 1809: Is Windows To Go still broken?

In the initial wave of reports for things that were broken in the first release of 1809, there was included a fatal BSOD on attempting to boot Windows To Go:




It is related to WppRecorder.sys, affected both "official" and "unofficial" To Go installs, and was only apparent when the boot device was an external USB drive/enclosure supporting UASP. It was raised in some of the MS community threads at that time.

Three workarounds have been circulated which seem to work, at least for now:

• Delete WppRecorder.sys prior to boot, and replace with the corresponding file from 1803.
• Disable UASP globally by renaming uaspstor.sys prior to boot.
• Disable UASP for the affected boot device via the registry of the ToGo install.

I have used the fist method and confirm that it works for me.
I have been checking the "fixes" in the re-release of 1809 and the subsequent patches, and do not see mention of this issue either specifically, or by reference to the offending drivers.
Is this on MS's radar?

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx
