Windows 10: 1903 - Broke On Battery Brightness Adjustment!

Got 1903 installed and now missing both of those sliders

I can still adjust brightness for Plugged In mode in the notifications menu and general brightness menu, but there is no way to set it for the Battery mode, when the notebook is unplugged.

Worked fine with 1809 and now MS broke it again, just like with 17XX!

Any way around it? I heard there is a reg hack that can be used. Using older Mobile Intel 4 series express Chipset family driver from Microsoft corp WDDM 1.1.

Brightness can not be adjusted.

• What is the make and model of your device?
• Were you able to see any error message/ error code with this issue?
• Have you tried to install all the pending updates for drivers and Windows Updates on your device?

This issue might have happened due to corrupted/ outdated drivers.

I suggest you to refer to the below Microsoft article, try the troubleshooting steps suggested to change the brightness and check if it helps.

• Click on Add or Remove quick Actions.
• In the make sure that the Brightness is ON.
• Then click on the Action Center and adjust the Brightness according to your preference.

• Go back to Power Options, and tick on the High performance.
• See if you can adjust the brightness.

If this not work, we highly suggest that you create an Administrator account, and re-do the steps above.
