  1. 1903 update reduced RAM speed

    Hi all,

Recently updated Windows 10 ver. 1809 to ver. 1903, and Windows now reports my total RAM speed as 2133 MHz. Before it was operating at 2400 MHz. 2400 is what the current processor supports. AIDA64 reports effective RAM speed is now 2133 MHz (which is what Task Man shows).

Has anyone else had this issue?

I have a system image made (before updating), so I may see if I can revert my system to see if the issue goes away.

System is AMD based, AMD PRO A10-9700 (AM4 socket) with dual DDR4 SDRAM 2666 sticks.

After 1903 update my RAM Speed is now 933 MHz instead of 1866 MHz!?

There seems to be a presumption that Task Manager is presenting some new info from the 1903 update, but that is definitely wrong as this info is also there in the 1809 update. This is from my backup desktop still running ver 1809....

CPU-Z. shows the same info (on 1903 main rig). Since the RAM is dual channel, 2 x 1665 = 3330 (roughly 3333Mhz) which is what the RAM is rated at....

At the end of the day, I find it curious that both CPU-Z and Task Manager shows one thing, but the OP is showing something else using command prompt. Something is definitely wrong, and I doubt it's a Windows issue.

BTW this is mine, which is consistent across all 3 measuring apps...

With that, I still feel the OP needs to check his RAM. And I still didn't get an answer to my question... how many RAM modules does the OP physically have installed???

  3. Windows 10 1903 causing Memory leaks and task manager showing wrong RAM speed.

After updating from windows 10 1809 to 1903, the task manager shows wrong memory speed as 2133Mhz. Earlier it used to show 2400 Mhz. Also, after updating to windows 10 1903, the was rapid and sudden spikes in RAM usage, like rapid ups and downs. After reboot,
the system stays stable for 2 to 5 minutes but suddenly the error continues.

  4. 1903 update reduced RAM speed

After 1903 update my RAM Speed is now 933 MHz instead of 1866 MHz!?

I just updated Windows 10 Pro from 1809 to 1903. Following this update I have now noticed that the RAM speed has dropped to 933 MHz from 1866 MHz!!

    I use HyperX Fury Black 8GB 1866MHz DDR3 CL10 DIMM Memory.

Here's a print screen of the memory being displayed in my task manager. I have no idea why my 1866 MHz RAM Speed is now being displayed as 933 MHz.

Anyone know how to fix this?
