Windows 10: 2 months i have been struggling to get my Windows to run properly.

Ive grown up with Windows since Windows 95. All i know is Windows. Im so disappointed in the way Microsoft has changed there ways for what? More funds from advertising? ? U trying to control our preference and invade our privacy to get more data for companies looking for market reasearch? Pf. Ure so tech savey and clued up on getting our personal info and tracking our activities but you cant even give us a propper support to fix our systems after you crashed it for us? Now we need to get another pc to install media on usb agg. What the hell people?? Ive lost my business thanx to your poor management in disregard for the real consumers of your products. Im sadend and ashamed i defended Windows to others who are turning against Windows. You are starting a revolt for this privacy terms and conditions act that allow cookies and tracers to invade our systems. And the best part of it all. We have to deal with the aftermath. I don't even wana post a question because the problem is all over this site. Im going to fight for our freedom as consumers to reject companies forcing us to watch there adds like brain washing sheep.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Scheduled tasks run with elevated privileges can't access stored Windows credentials

It seems that after Creators update scheduled tasks run with elevated privileges ('run with highest privileges' option) can't access stored Windows credentials. Is that a bug or an intentional change and is there a recommended workaround?

Here's one way to reproduce the behaviour:

• Start Credential Manger and add some Windows share credentials.
• In a console window type 'cmdkey /list', which should list the added credentials
• Create a task in a task manager:
  • Trigger: on user logon
  • Action: run cmd.exe
  • Tick the 'run with highest privileges' option
• Reboot the machine and log in
• In the console window (let's call it 'console 1') opened from the scheduled task type 'cmdkey /list'. This most likely won't display the credentials added in step 1 and properly listed in step 2. ->
  This looks like a bug
• Now, without closing 'console 1' open another console window as an administrator (let's call it 'console 2') and type 'cmdkey /list'. This will properly list credentials added in step 1.
• Switch to 'console 1' and type 'cmdkey /list' again. This time the credentials are listed properly, unlike in step 5. It looks like an access to Windows credentials was somehow 'unlocked' by step 6.

 

Media player is not properly running the display shows only half screen.

I suggest you to run the Windows Media Player settings troubleshooter. Follow these steps to run
Windows Media Player settings troubleshooter:

• PressWindows key + W and type troubleshooting.
• Select Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click Windows Media Player settings.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.

Step 2: I would suggest you to update your graphic card drivers and check if it helps.

You can update drivers from the Device Manager.

• • Right click on start button and click on Device manager.
    
  • Select Display Drivers and expand it.
  • Right click on the driver and select Update driver.
