    So lastly (right around when the anniv. update occured) my sound stopped working on my windows 10 tablet, ive researched it on the web for about a week, reinstalled windows, tried to update the driver but nothing is seems to work. The fact that my tablet is an INSIGNIA NS-P11W7100 is not helping since its a cheap brand and the company doesnt offer help for making their own drivers. One weird thing ive noticed is that ,when i go to control panel->device manager-> audio, video and game controller, it shows.. 2 different sound card

    Is it normal, what should i try next? Any help would help!

    No sound after upgrading W10

    I did all that many times, its find until I turn off the comp. Then upon reboot no more sound again. So basically if I wanted sound I had to go through 2 boot, one to fix it and one to enjoy it. I got rid of my sound card and downgraded to my onboard
    sound card, **** card but at least now I got some sound.

    Tried everything here--can't have both headphones & speakers as default--pick one or the other

    Unless you have 2 sound cards you cannot have both enabled at the same time. It is one or the other. I am surprised Dell did not tell you that.

    Your Asus uses a different driver and has a different sound card.
