Windows 10: 2004 update creates fragments on seocnd monitor

Hello folks,

after installing the 2004 update today I noticed green fragments on my wallpaper, but only on the second monitor. Changing wallpapers just moved them and it seems they are only affecting certain color ranges. Re-installing my graphic drivers solved the issue but it came back after restarting the machine. It also happens when watching movies, made worse, by them moving all the time. I cannot make a screenshot because the image only has those fragments visible on the second screen. I have no idea what is causing this but I stronlg believe it only affects certain color ranges. I could make a screenshot with my phone.

External monitor blanking often

Hi,

Please answer these questions to assist you better.

• What is the make and model of your computer and external monitor?
• Have you installed all pending Windows and driver updates?
• Do you get any error message?

I suggest you to install all pending Windows updates in your PC and also update Display drivers. Follow the steps below.

Step 1: I would suggest you to check and install any latest Windows Updates available.

• Go to Start and then Settings.
• Click on Update and Recovery.
• Check for updates under
  Windows Updates.
• Restart the system and check if the issue is resolved.

'Generic PnP monitor' issue

Hello Angelica,

I would suggest you follow steps to update the monitor driver:

Press Windows + X keys

Choose Device manager

Click on Monitors

Right click on ‘Generic PnP monitor’ and click on update driver

Tap on Browse my computer for driver software

Tap on Let me pick from a list of available drivers

Choose ‘Generic PnP monitor’ and tap on Next

When you are done please restart the computer.
