Windows 10: 2018-08 Cumulative Update for W10 V 1803 x64-based KB4343909

Having used Windows 10 (quite happily) since its inception on this computer, I have just had a series of repeated update failures as follows:

Installation Failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0x800F0922: 2018-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4343909).

It tries, fails, waits to undo the changes and then a few days later repeats.

I'm not a "power user" and have searched for solutions online but most involve things I'm afraid to do or suggest downloading some other software that I am loathe to trust.

Any assistance would be sincerely appreciated!! Thanks!

Hey guyz!! Need help.

I am unable to install this update: 2018-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version

remedy's i perform

1- run the Windows update troubleshooter Clear update cache.

2-i did run wu170509.diagcab DL from ms site.

3- I got the standalone package for this update and i did run it

up date goes to 100% but after 5 sec !!! evry time i got this msg!!

I do not know what else to do.

what is different between 10 April and 14August 2018

2018/08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 version 1803 for x64 based Systems. KB4343909

This shows on my update history as failed to install.

When I did a manual install it indicated that it was already installed.

I looked in uninstall and it was shown there.

Why is it shown as failed to install ?
