I have been trying to install 2018 – 09 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for X64 Based Systems (KB 4464218) on my Asus i5 laptop computer running Windows 10 home 64-bit system without success having tried some 24 times already. A number of times the installation has stated 100% only to give a message that the installation has failed with the error message.0x80073712



The previous cumulative update (KB 4457128) also failed to install with the same error message 0x 80073712.



Previous cumulative updates and installed without any problems.



I have tried various options including running the troubleshooter and also trying to install the updates from the downloaded stand-alone files but each time whilst I tried to install from the stand-alone files, the installation appears to work until near the end a message comes up saying “this update is not for your computer” or words to that effect.



Other than downloading and installing Windows 10 from the latest iso file, which is a real pain because one has to reinstall all files folders and programs, are there any other solutions that I could possibly try?

Sir While down loading the update 2018-07 Cumulative update for Windows 10 version 1803 for x 64 based systems (KB4340917) we are getting error code 0x800736b3 and unable to update this update . How to solve this problem.

Thanks, solved that issue but now its seems to happen with every update
