Windows 10: 2019-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4499167) -...

This update was installed last night, but when I tried to use my PC it couldn't access folders on the data drive. I have two SSD, one for system, one for data. Files on the data disk root opened OK, but not when in folders, and I got a message saying there was an I/O error.


I ran chckdsk on the data disk, but it failed, saying it was because the disk was formatted as RAW.


Luckily I'd set up System Restore, and when I restored to the setup before the new update, everything returned to normal.


I've now set my ethernet connection to metered, so the update won't download again (I hope.) Should I do anything to allow the update to proceed successully?

In the Windows update catalog, this update, 2019-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1809 for x64-based Systems (KB4501835) is for May but the date created: May 1. According to the update history https://support.microsoft.com/en-ca/help/4464619/windows-10-update-history,
this is not the latest build. Microsoft, you should change it from 2019-05 to 2019-04. There will be a new build coming out this Tuesday, update Tuesday.
