Windows 10: 2019-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems (KB4512508)

After installing 2019-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems (KB4512508) on my Dell G3 3579, I am unable to open the Action Center, Calendar, Volume Control, Battery status, etc. from the Task Bar. Also I am unable to right-click any App pinned in the Task Bar (The work around of holding Shift and right-clicking does work).


I have Windows 10 Home; Version 1903; OS Build 18362.295


If I uninstall this update, everything works.


Is this a known issue?

Install error - 0x80070017 in 2019-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems (KB4512508)

2019-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems (KB4505903) failed to install on ‎31-07-2019 - 0x80070017. I tried installing this update 4 times (It was downloaded again every time). Then, I just ignored
that update and waited for the next one. 2019-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based Systems (KB4512508) is the latest update I've received, but I get Install error - 0x80070017 during installation (after ~50%). Then, I ran windows
update troubleshooter, opened this link and tried downloading 4508433 SSU
Package (for x64 based systems), but nothing helped.

How do I update Windows then? I don't want to do a system restore/clean install of Windows 10.

If I skip this update, will I be able to update to the next feature/cumulative update?

Hi! I recently clean install my pc with windows 10 then after I updated my drivers I proceed to update windows then suddenly after a couple of security updates(2) the cumulative update stopped at somewhere 50-60% then
the error shows up. How can I fix this? Also have a good day to you all.

Well here we go AGAIN! Another 'Patch Tuesday' and yet another update that refuses to install. Last month there was a Cumulative Update that would not install and now we have another one, 2019-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1903 for x64-based
Systems (KB4512508) -Error 0x80073701, with the same error code. What on earth is going on at Microsoft? It's getting to the stage where I am seriously considering dumping my PC and getting a Mac! With the failed install of last month I tried everything possible
to find a solution but all to no avail. Followed all the 'solutions' posted on the Community to the letter but none worked. Come on Microsoft...sort yourselves out as this is getting beyond a joke.
