Windows 10: 2019-08 Cumulative update Windows 10 Version 1803 for systems with architecture x64 (KB4512501)

Hi,

My PC keeps unsuccesfully installing and reverting after install failure. Stops at ~21%


Annoying for several months already.


Tried to free space on disks. C: has >32GB free space. D: (used for program files, my documents etc.. >500 GB). No success.


Any suggestions?

Cumulative Update Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Error


Just received this since yesterday: 2019-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4512501) - Error 0x80070002

It reminds me of last years (October 2018) update that was halted. Should I just download the update from Microsoft directly? Which of these downloads would it be? I'm running Win10 Home x64.

An app default was reset. After installing 2019-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4512501)

Hi

I installed
the above Cumulative Update (KB4512501) on 17/08/2019.

I got this notification when I started up my laptop.

"An app default was reset. An app caused a problem with the default app".

I got about 9 notifications. The type of files affected were: .wmv,.zpl,.wm,.wdp,.wav,.tts,.ts,.sr2,.rwl.

I have seen that this problem has occurred with an earlier
Cumulative Update (KB3135173).

Can anyone help?
