    Have tried several times to update the 2021-09 Cumulative Update with above subject error. Last Cumulative Update for 2021-08 seems to have installed fine. I've seen similar posts for past Cumulative Updates but no specific cure. Anyone else having problems and have a solution? Thanks.

    Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) will not install

    Anyone else having problems getting the Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) installed? This update has been failing for me & doing a failed to update after downloading & reboot, then rebooting & removing the update.

    V 10.0 build 10240

    2020-10 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 10 Version 20H2 for x64-based Systems (KB4580364) but wont install at restart, just keeps showing Windows requires restart to install. Also tried install and shutdown but still same issue.

    I am having the same problem, I am afraid, with 2017-09 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1703 for x64-based Systems (KB4040724). Update 2017-09 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1703 for x64-based Systems (KB4038788 was successful a couple
    of weeks ago. I have side effects: Edge no longer working and the audio volume control disabled - presumably these are fixed in KB4040724. I have a high-end Lenovo used for business in a very conventional way.
