Discus and support 2021/9/9 Win 10: cannot access DOCUMENTS and SETTINGS folder in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; I wasted about 5 hours watching videos, reading pages and of course searching here.     2021/9/9 Win 10: cannot access DOCUMENTS and SETTINGS folder


    I wasted about 5 hours watching videos, reading pages and of course searching here. I found a ******* 2015 ****** thread about this issue here at MS Answers. SERIOUSLY?At first there were lots of blank checkboxes, but even though they're now all checked for every user, I can't access the folder. I even turned off Webroot.Why, why, why?

    Documents and Settings: Access Denied: Windows 10

    When I attempted to edit the administrators permission, I tried all this and at the end, item 9 I received the message "An error occurred while applying security information to: C:\Documents and Settings Failed to enumerate objects in container. Access is
    denied."

    I am using Windows 10 home and need access to copy my user data such as favorites.

    Downloads folder is the Documents folder

    Hi Chris,

    I suggest you to Restore to Default the folders and document settings and see if it helps.

    Step 1:

    Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

    • Go to Download folder.
    • Right click on the Download Folder and go to Properties.
    • In Properties go to Location tab.
    • In location Tab Click on Restore Default.


    Step 2:

    Please follow below steps and check if it helps.

    • Go to Documents folder.
    • Right click on the Document folder and go to Properties.
    • In Properties go to Location tab.
    • In location Tab Click on Restore Default.
    After performing above steps change the settings as you required and check if it helps.

    access BIOS settings in Win 10

    I have an 8-year old computer running Win 10. I need to access the BIOS settings. It used to be the holding down the F2 key during startup would bring up the BIOS screen in Windows computers. But this no longer works. A web article listed a complicated
    series of steps leading to a reboot . . . but still no access to BIOS. Any suggestions?
