Windows 10: 2024-10 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems KB5044380

The update "2024-10 Cumulative Update Preview for Windows 11 Version 23H2 for x64-based Systems KB5044380" is giving me trouble. It downloads without any issues, but when it finishes and starts instilling, it displays "Install error - 0x800f0831" and becomes stuck at 50%. Can someone please tell me how to fix it?
