    Hi,

My laptop is crshing ramdomly and it says that "2100: hdd detection error"

I have lenovo thinkpad t440 and there is a 240gb adata ssd in it I am recieving this error several times I had done every thing updating drivers, updating firmware on ssd, I have also reintalled window two to three times but it didn't help

I am still getting this error

2100: detection error on hdd0main hdd [IMG] After this blue screen the black screen appears which says. 2100 detection error. I am getting this error frequently but when I shut down my pc from this black screen it boots up normally with no issues but again after sometime my pc crashes a screen stuck and the blue screen appears

First I thought that the connection of ssd is lose with motherboard but them I fixed it on it place.

But again I am getting this error

    PLEASE HELP!!!!

    :)

    HDD error detection

    Hi Stephanie,

The error you are getting - 2100: Detection error on HDD 0 is generally associated with a bad connection between the hard drive and the connector on the motherboard

The solution is to remove the bottom cover of your laptop pull out the hard drive and clean the connection on both sides. Then connect up the hard drive again, making sure that connection is good and tight . . .

    unlock hdd

    Hi Johan,

    It is possible that your
    HDD was unreadable
causing the error message to appear. We recommend that you perform these troubleshooting steps and check if there are any changes:

    • Shutdown
      your
      PC.

    • Unhooked
      the
      HDD
      and
      turn on
      your
      PC.

    • Reconnect
      your
      HDD
      and
      restart
      your
      PC.

If the issue persists, we suggest that you contact your
    laptop/computer's manufacturer
    for further assistance.

Update us on how it goes.

    Regards.
