Windows 10: 2nd monitor not detected

This problem has probably been asked previously but I can only find older answers whicharen't relevant.

I have recently purchased a new HP Pavillion laptop and a Samsung 27" curved monitor.

Laptop using Windows10.

All working perfectly.

A change in job and working from home now requires a second monitor laptop + 2 external monitors.

Today I bought a second Samsung monitor exactly the same and a 4 Port HDMI Splitter.

The monitors are working but the laptop only detect 1 laptop and 2 monitor. The 2nd monitor is a mirror of the first monitor.

Its doing my head in because I can't figure out what else to do if there is anything I can do?

I came across the info below which sounds like its the issue but really hoping there is a work around.

Any suggestions?

Note: If you are trying to use a display splitter extend your display to more than one external monitor, you won't be able to. The splitter is duplicating the same signal instead of creating two independent signals.

Windows 10 stopped detecting 2nd monitor

I've restarted the computer (several times), and it's not showing any signs of detecting the 2nd monitor.

Ever since it stopped working, there's only '1' Display option; clicking 'Detect' in Multiple displays results in the message
"Didn't detect another display"; the Device Manager only lists one monitor (screenshot below); and it has stopped allowing me to select other projection modes unless I connect to the 2nd monitor wirelessly.

I'm using an HDMI cable for the 2nd monitor, and have tried both HDMI ports on the monitor unsuccessfully. The monitor models are Dell E2414H and LG 24J4840.

2nd monitor not being detected

Received a software update for windows 10. Upon restart my 2nd monitor was no longer working. Went to the display section in Settings and it is not being detected. Pushed the detect button and nothing. How do I get this back. My 2nd monitor is more
important than any new things in the update.

 

2nd monitor is not detected

Just purchased AOC portable monitor. Loaded drivers. When I plug the monitor into USB3.0, it flashes on (AOC) and then goes off. There is no on/off button. Using Windows 10. Monitor is not detected. I am not sure what else I must do in order to use
this monitor. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.
