Discus and support 2nd monitor via USB in Windows 10 Drivers and Hardware to solve the problem; Sincerely would like to know why recent updates to Win10 now prevent pc from running a 2nd monitor via a USB port...Would like details of correct work...     Sincerely would like to know why recent updates to Win10 now prevent pc from running a 2nd monitor via a USB port...Would like details of correct work round to apply.... as net is full of useless suggestions...such include some from Microsoft Windows!!!Thank you.

    Color Display on 2nd monitor

    I am using Windows 10 on a Dell laptop with a 2nd monitor which has been working fine. For some unknown reason I have suddenly lost the full color range on the 2nd monitor. I don't know if I have changed some setting by accident or what. I have tried
    resetting the defaults but that didn't change anything on the 2nd monitor. The primary screen on the laptop continues to work fine. Any suggestions what needs to be done to restore the full color range on monitor #2?

    From your issue description, I understand that you are facing issue with second monitor. Not to worry, I am here to help you with this issue.

    • Do you receive any error message?
    • Did you check using different USB ports?
    As an initial troubleshooting step, I suggest you to run hardware and device troubleshooter and check if it helps.

    1. Click on search bar next to Start Menu.

    2. Type “Troubleshooting” without the quotes and click on
    Troubleshooting.

    3. Click on View All on the left panel of the screen.

    4. Click on Hardware and Devices.

    5. Click on Next and follow the prompts to run the troubleshooter.

    If the issue still persists, I want you to contact the monitor manufacturer and check if it helps.

    • What changes did you make in the BIOS? As making the changes in the BIOS is only recommended by Microsoft if done by the manufacturer.
    • How are you connecting to the 2nd monitor?
